Dark purple leathery leaves on a tall, elegant dark stem. Growing up to 1.5 metres in height, this plant is striking in any garden or plant collection. The leaves emerge darker with maturity, ranging from dark green, to purple to almost black.

Watering: Don't over water, they like to dry out between waterings.
Maintenance: Keep warm over winter to slow down/stop dormancy. If they experience temperatures of less than 15 Degrees Celsius consistently they will go dormant in which watering should be kept to a minimum (about once a month) until new growth emerges in Spring. If kept indoors wipe leaves of dirt and rotate regularly to keep upright.
