Postage and Returns
Postage is FREE when you spend over $149. Postage and handling is a flat rate of $18 when you spend under $150. All parcels are shipped via Express Post to make sure the plants spend as little time in transit as possible .
Root'd Plants uses AusPost to deliver plants (almost) Australia wide. We post directly to all non-quarantine states (NSW, ACT, SA, QLD, VIC). We do not send directly to quarantine states (WA, NT, TAS), however quarantine states can still purchase from Root'd Plants. Please read our blog 'How to purchase plants when you live in a Quarantine State' for more information.
We can also post to WA directly in some cases, however a permit will need to be supplied (see our blog post on quarantine states for more info). Additional plant preparation fees are charged - $15 per plant to bare root each plant (required by permit) and wrap in sphagnum moss. This option is not available for NT and TAS.
Items purchased on this site before 9am Monday will be posted that week on either Monday or Tuesday. Root'd Plants does not post items Wednesday to Sunday. Postage and handling costs will be added when checking out, or if you spend $150 or more they will be free.
Tracking information will be sent to your email provided by AusPost.
If you forget an item and want to add it to your order please get in contact with us at firstname.lastname@example.org, we can add the item and send you an invoice to pay the outstanding amount. Alternatively, if you don't want to miss out on the item, checkout normally and receive a second order number. Please send us an email with the 2 order numbers to combine to email@example.com and we will combine the orders and refund excess postage. Please note this can only be done if ordered in the same postage week and if your first order has not shipped.
Root'd Plants does not ship live plants internationally as exporting plants is difficult to do from Australia but some businesses do offer this service. You can buy from us and get your order shipped directly to them. They then can organise exportation to you. You can organise this through this website (prior to purchase).
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
Root'd Plants has sent tens of thousands of orders over the years and has perfected their packing technique. We also send via Express Post to minimise time in transit. However, if your plants have arrived and something is not quite right then please get in contact within 48 hours of receiving your order. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and please include pictures so we can determine the best solution for you. Root'd Plants guarantees that our customers are happy with their purchase! Email us on the rare occasion that you are not - we want to turn that frown upside down.
We are unable to accept returns or refund based purely on a change of mind so please do get in touch if you are unsure about your purchase prior to it being purchased and/pr sent and we can help answer any doubts or select the right plant(s) for your space.
Please keep in mind that there is stress involved in shipping a plant, so please give a dose of ‘Ocean Grown - Deep Sea Sugar & Kelp’ (Dr Greenthumbs) which helps with transport shock.
Root'd Plants does take every precaution so that your plants arrive in good condition, therefore we cannot take any responsibility from damage in transit and/or from being left in less than ideal spots once delivered or left too long at the post office whilst waiting to be picked up.
