Phlebodium aureum - Blue Star Fern
Regular price $16.00Matte blue/grey multi-lobed leaves that are whitewashed for sun protection, given them an almost silver sheen. Hairy thick rhizomes are found on the surface of the soil when the plant matures. The pronged leaves of this fern can reach up to 40 cm, growing from thin tough stems, a very hardy and easy to care for fern. These ferns are epiphytes that can be found growing in tree limbs and root crevices so they prefer a nutrient rich, free draining mix that doesn't leave their roots and rhizomes soggy.

Watering: Don't over water, they like to dry out between waterings.
Maintenance: Trim back to make the plant even bushier. Remove crispy/ brown leaves.

Please note that we use 'Bugs for Bugs' regularly as a preventative control measure for pests. These predatory bugs are administered in vermiculite. This vermiculite is sprinkles onto the leaves and sometimes remains.
