Lush little pots of velvety, irridescent heart shaped (cordate) leaves that are soft to touch and luxurious to look at. This trailing beauty is perfect for hanging baskets or vining around a trellis, with emerald green leaves and a deep red underside, wats not to love? If allowed to root to a climbing structure the leaves will grow larger, lighter in colour and with a more pointed axis. A low maintenance plant that is unusual, highly rewarding and a beautiful addition to any plant collection.
Current Pot Size: 100mm
Light: Full shade, Category 5 (please see our blog on plant light requirements) Lower light levels will produce darker coloured leaves, brighter light will promote washed out, red toned leaves.
Soil: Soil type x (please see our blog on soil requirements)
Fertiliser: As directed on your fertiliser of choice. Fortnightly or monthly during the growing season
Watering: Don't over water, they like to dry out between waterings.
Maintenance: Don't let this one climb to keep the dark velvet look of the leaves, mature plants have lighter green, less velvety leaves.
