This lush, compact begonia is a hybrid between Begonia pustulata and Begonia imperialis. Silver Jewell is a rhizomatous perennial begonia grown for its metallic silver foliage with dark green patchy patterning. Leaves are almost heart-shaped with a puckered but soft to touch texture. Bears clusters of tiny lemon/cream flowers from Autumn to Spring.

Fertiliser: As directed on your fertiliser of choice. Fortnightly or monthly during the growing season

Watering: Don't over water, whilst not letting the plant dry out completely. Let it dry to 80% before watering again.
Maintenance: They like humidity and to never dry out completely otherwise the leaves will become crispy. Don't allow water to sit on the leaves as it can lead to fungal diseases.
Flowering: Yes, in Autumn - Spring. fertilise once buds emerge to promote more flowers.
Transport Risk: Medium - The stems are quite delicate and leaf loss from transit is normal. These plants however are quite full and bushy and once you remove the damaged leaves they won't be missed.
