Known as the "Queen Anthurium", these little babes are just getting started. The magnificent foliage on these plants are the reason they are so highly sought after. Gorgeous velvety leaves that get to 1.2 metres long in maturity with glittery white venation.
Soil: Well draining, moisture retaining - Aroid mix (please see our blog on soil requirements)
Fertiliser: As directed on your fertiliser of choice, then dilute again 1:10. Fortnightly or monthly during the growing season (please see our blog on plant food)
Watering: Don't over water, they like to dry out between waterings. A chunky, airy potting mix will ensure adequate airflow to roots and minimise risk of rot.
Maintenance: Keep warm over winter, temperature should be kept above 13 Degrees Celcius. Roots will grow along the entire stem as the plant matures, repotting every 1-2 years to keep an airy, moisture retentive and nutrient rich soil. Leaves can be easily damaged from rough contact or water remaining on the leaves.
Postage is a flat rate of $18, spend over $149 and it's free! Live plants can only be posted directly to NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC, SA. Plants can be sent to WA, NT and TAS via a plant concierge. Please see our blog on quarantine states for more information.
All plants pictured are considered an accurate representation of the plant you will receive. It represents the rough size, colour and condition. These are plants however and due to changes in climatic conditions and plant variation there will be minor differences.
We are now adding in 'Transport risk' in the product description as some plants are more delicate than others and/or find transport stressful. We will rate in terms of Low, Medium or High risk and discuss specifically to the plant in question. If this information is not provided yet please feel free to reach out via email to ask. Please also note that if plants are sent with new leaves that haven't had the chance to harden off they are susceptible to physical damage in transit as the slightest touch can cause it.
Please note that we use 'Bugs for Bugs' regularly as a preventative control measure for pests. These predatory bugs are administered in vermiculite. This vermiculite is sprinkles onto the leaves and sometimes remains.
We know that sometimes it's hard to get an idea of the size of the plant your are purchasing. Photos can make plants look bigger than they actually are. That's why we've made it easy. In each listing you will notice a photo with a background with lines drawn. These lines are distanced 5cm away from each other and the photographs are taken straight on with products against the wall. These photos will be the best indicator of size.
