A playful variety of Aeschyanthus with light green rubbery leaves that twist and curl around their stems, looking like a cute pot of curly locks! This striking species is part of the Gesneriaceae, the Aeschycanthus genus has adapted to be epiphytes that naturally grow up high in trees. These plants look stunning in a hanging pot and are happy trailing down with vines growing up to one metre long.

Origin: Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand.
Light: Category 3-5 (please see our blog on plant light requirements)
Soil: Indoor mix (please see our blog on soil requirements)
Fertiliser: As directed on your fertiliser of choice. Fortnightly or monthly during the growing season
Watering: Don't over water, they like to dry out between waterings.
Flowering: Blooms sporadically in Spring in Summer - Bright orange to red flowers resembling lips painted with bright lipstick will grow profusely given enough light and fertiliser.
Maintenance: Trim back foliage during active growth to make the plant even bushier.
