In general, Araliaceae species have large leaves, usually containing aromatic oils and five-petaled flowers. The family is often woody but also occasionally herbaceous. Popular members of this family include Hedera Helix (English Ivy), Schefflera (Umbrella Tree) and Panax (Ginseng).
