Anoectochilus

Anoectochilus (pronounced An-eck-toe-KYE-lus) is a genus of about forty species in the orchid family Orchidaceae. They are small, terrestrial rhizomatous creepers with dark coloured leaves with highly contrasting veins and an upright flowering stem, although their leaves are by far the appeal of these plants . Anoechtochilus are commonly known as marbled jewel orchids or filigree orchids. They remain relatively small with the largest species reaching a leaf size of 10cm, so they are great for terrariums.
