This plant is perfect as an indoor plant loving bright indirect light and warmth. This Calathea was recently reclassified to Geoppertia. It has dark green shiny leaves with white stripes that appear hand-painted on. The stunning leaves in this genera have earned the name Peacock plant. The leaves open in the day to the sun and close up at night. Plants in this family are know as Prayer Plants as a result.
Current Pot Size: 100mm
Watering: Best watered with rain water or distilled water as salts and minerals can build up and cause brown leaf edges, while its not necessary for every water it helps flush excess salt from the soil. Don't over water, they like to dry out slightly between waterings. Water when top 1-2 inches of soil is dry.
Maintenance: Don't place next to a draught, use preventative fungal treatment spray on the leaves if black/yellow spots appear.
