Chlorophytum comosum 'green' is a solid green variety of the common 'Spider plant'. A member of the Asparagus family (Asparagaceae), Chlorophytum is one of the easiest house plants to grow and look great in hanging baskets, shelves or garden beds. Pups or "Spiderettes" that are abundant once the plant reaches maturity (6-12months) can be cut off and easily propagated or left to hang down and create a trailing habit.

Fertiliser: As directed on your fertiliser of choice. Fortnightly or monthly during the growing season (please see our blog on plant food)
Watering: Don't over water, they like to dry out between waterings.
Maintenance: Repot every 1-2 years as roots are vigorous and thick. Remove pups to keep tidy or allow to trail down.
