This plant is perfect as an indoor plant loving bright indirect light and warmth. nicknamed the "Peacock Plant" for its show stopping foliage that looks almost hand painted. The leaves are a glossy light green, lanceolate shaped with thick dark green hand-painted dots and stripes. A member of the Marantaceae family, or the "Prayer Plant" family - the leaves face down in the day to the sun and stand up at night, a slow but beautiful daily dance that the leaves perform every day.

Soil: Well draining, moisture retaining - Indoor mix (please see our blog on soil requirements).
Fertiliser: As directed on your fertiliser of choice. Fortnightly or monthly during the growing season (please see our blog on plant food).
Watering: Best watered with rain water or distilled water as salts and minerals can build up and cause brown leaf edges, while its not necessary for every water it helps flush excess salt from the soil. Don't over water, they like to dry out slightly between waterings. Water when top 1-2 inches of soil is dry.
Maintenance: Don't place next to a draught, use preventative fungal treatment spray on the leaves. Don't let leaves remain wet for long periods.
