Waxy, lanceolate green leaves with bold, dark red markings down the centre vein and along the outer edge of the leaves. A member of the Araceae family, Aglaonemas are low maintenance and slow growing, making these beautiful plants perfect for bringing some lush, colourful foliage indoors.
Current Pot Size: 70mm
Origin: Tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and New Guinea.
Synonyms: Chinese Evergreen
Light: Category 4-6 (please see our blog on plant light requirements)
Soil: Indoor mix (please see our blog on soil requirements)
Fertiliser: As directed on your fertiliser of choice. Fortnightly or monthly during the growing season
Watering: Don't over water, they like to dry out between waterings. Aglaonemas have a fairly shallow root system and don't like to be drenched.
This is a slow grower and very little maintenance is needed. Keep warm over winter, no direct sun light. Wipe leaves regularly as they can accumulate dust and inhibit photosynthesis.
